Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
The Podcast Engine (“the Service”) is operated by BouttheB Technologies (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@thepodcastengine.com.
Information we collect
- ·Account information — your email address and, if you subscribe, billing details handled by our payment processor (Stripe).
- ·Media you upload — the video/audio episodes you submit, and the artifacts we generate from them (transcripts, articles, clips, thumbnails).
- ·Connected-platform credentials — when you connect YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook, we receive OAuth access tokens that let us publish on your behalf. These are stored encrypted at rest and are never shared.
- ·Usage data — basic logs (jobs run, errors, timestamps) needed to operate and debug the Service.
How we use your information
- ·To provide the Service: transcribe and process your episodes, generate content, and publish it to the platforms you have connected and authorized.
- ·To maintain your account, enforce plan limits, and process payments.
- ·To improve reliability and to provide support.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your media or transcripts to train third-party advertising models.
Connected platforms and their data
When you connect a platform, you authorize us to act on your behalf through that platform’s official API — for example, to upload a video to your TikTok account or post a Reel to your Facebook Page. We access only the scopes you grant, use that access solely to provide the publishing features you request, and store the resulting tokens encrypted. You can revoke our access at any time from your Connections page or from the platform’s own app-permissions settings. Our use of information received from these platforms adheres to each platform’s developer terms and limited-use requirements.
Service providers
We share data with the vendors that run the Service, only as needed to operate it: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel and Fly.io (hosting), Stripe (payments), and AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) that process your transcript and media to generate content. Each is bound by its own data-protection terms.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your media, disconnect platforms, or request full account and data deletion at any time by emailing support@thepodcastengine.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law.
Security
Connected-platform tokens are encrypted at rest, access is scoped per workspace, and all transport is over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
